I was in a car accident in 2019. The person who caused the accident was given a pat on the back by the Vernon police who allowed her to leave the scene without a ticket for the reason that this was her first offense. I on the other hand, was given a ticket by the police which was later dismissed with an apology from the court to me for what had occurred.
